I am a newcomer to the DIY power wall realm. I am in the process of checking & rechargingold laptop batteries. I am planning to build a solar power system to be grid free for life & possibly run some of my old Bitcoin miners . I currently live and work in Saudi Arabia where there's plenty of sunlight

Welcome to the forums What are you using for miners these days? Even the most powerful ASICs haven't been profitable for a long time.

Antminers, I still have some running. If possible I'd like to running my older miners if I can build a solar power system. I got one 4.5 ton airconditioner that I have to run along with the miners to keep them cool. Electricity is very cheap here, but running all the equipment makes the cost higher than I want to pay. I got a quote for a 149 KWp solar system that is suppose to provide 216 MW/h year to cover 50% of annual electricity consumption from a company here, it is $184000.
