I got one to experiment with and replaced the fan in the first 15 minutes with a Noctura 12v one. It's too large to fit inside but a drill and exterior mounting can fix that. It's very quiet even at max speed and moves air better than stock.
I have the issue with the mpt getting erratic readings when setting the fan speed to something else than maximum speed.
I was wondering if this is a general issue or are there units out there that dont got this problem?
Im using it for charging my Onewheel+ from an e-bike batterywhen outside and the fan noise is way too loud on max settings. And im scared that the unstable controller coulddestroy my Onewheel.
Soi just orderd a new 40mm noctuafan(NF-A4x10 FLX) so thecontroller is at least quietwhen running at max speed.
The fan came today and i was pretty impressed of how silent it is. But more important it looks likethe fan speedissue is gone now. I can change the fan speed and the controller stays stable. But the voltage seems slightly off (Set to 58V, shows 58.2V). Is thiseven the right fan?Did i miss something when buyingit?
