Hi all,

A short introduction of my DIY Powerwall project, made in the Netherlands.

Inspired by the Glubuxproject I started collecting 18650 cells. Now I have enough cells for a 14S120P setup, all balancedand ready for creating the 14 packs. I'm gonna use the Victron Multiplus II 48/5000 in combination with my already installed SolarEdge installation with 44 panels of 280Wh each. The installation will be placed outside of the house inside a closed offsection of a bike shed.

Looking good and looking forward to your completed build.

A far as the OPUS and the NCR18650A cellsis concerned the resultsare notthat bad on a 3000mAh cell.You are between .87% to 5.27% high.
Typical capacity is actually 3070mAh so that would lower the inflation a little.

Don't take this as a defence of the OPUS just an observation.

It would be interesting to know the 'true" IR of these cells (not the OPUS fake quick test).
These are some ofmy results for the few (48) NCR18650As that I have. The LiitoKala I know is off by at least 5% to the high side.
I'd be very happy if I had 1000 of those cells optimistic or not.

The only thing that confuses me is you have a lot of green cells yet all your packs have pink generic ICR 18650 2600mAh wrappers :huh:
Did you resleeve all of them?

It's a "Blue Peter" setup (only older UK people will get this)...... "and heres one I prepared earlier"

I only have an Opus to check the IR, I did getreadings on the Opusof50mOhm on average.

Besides the Panasonic NCR18650A and NCR18650PF cells I have about 600 new cells of unknown origin. I did remove the sleeve on one of the cells but these cells do not have any marking on the cell itself. I have tested several of this batch of cells and on my Opus and they are rated between 2900 and 3100 mAh.
One cell I'm testing on the Ultramat charger, charging at 8A and discharging at 5A. And still the capacity stays the same, so I have the impression these are cells are good enough for my power wall. Time will tell...

The cells look btw very similar to the Jehu Garcia Re-volt cells. Who knows... maybe they are from the same manufacturer.

Labeled 2600mAh and give ~3000mAh result.
Very interesting. Good for you though.

PS if you have a scale it would be interesting to see the gram weight of these.

Today I tested the new hydraulic crimping tool together with 35mm2 cable and PP120 Power Pole connectors.

The connectors will be used to connect the 14 packs of my 14s120p setup. These arenot genuine Anderson Power Pole connectors but they are very solid and make a satisfying click when you connect two connectors to eachother.

The sizes of the crimping tool are a bit off. To make a good crimp I first crimp with size 35 and then a second crimp with size25 and then it's a really good crimp.

The contacts are large enough to make two crimps next to each other.
