Hey everyone this is my mini 120cell 18650 small scale test powerwall.
system is made up of
120 Samsung inr 18650 15m high drain cells configured into a 3s 40p pack
40 watt mono solar panel facing north north west
20amp pulse with modulation charge controllerset down to float at 12.7v
a small 50 amp watt hour meter
a 16amp circuitbreaker on solar infeed
a 32 amp circuit breaker on inverter feed with 50 amp anderson plugs
a 600watt continuous 1200watt peak modified sine power inverter
puts out up to .5kwh a day in usable power at 240v
no bms just me and a multimeter
Cheers brad

Can you please link parts you use?

Ratings for that pack (I looked up the datasheet for those cells)
Nominal Voltage: 3.7V x 3 = 11.1V
Charge Voltage: 4.2V x 3 = 12.6V
Max charge current: 4A x 40 = 160A (2,016W)
Max discharge current: 23A x 40 = 920A (11.5kW)
Capacity: 60Ah 666Wh

I seriously doubt you could put anything like 920 amps through any of those wires, without interesting effects.

So do you build using wire that is sized based on the absolute theoretical maximum output of the battery ?

Like I originally said, its a 1000A tesla style fuse, perfect!@

yeah 1mm copper wire wont take 1000amps lightly haha look like a halogen spot light for 2 seconds
