Hey . Yep this is the 1st post. Probably like 30 percent on here . Have BIG plans . Small funds though :s. Have to buy as i get the money . In Decemberi will have the funds to buy around 10kw worth of solar pannels i found from a man . Unfortunately the sleeping giant will have to sit inside my shop until i am able to get the money to buy mounts etc . Right now in the research phase of everything and havent completely decided what to do with my pannels as far as off grid with battery bank . Stumbled upon this man jehugarcia schannel and have been watching that lead me to this forum.

Know i will be getting the pannels . Right now dont have the knowledge to do the 18650 packs . (yet) but hours on this computer will help with the end result i am sure.
 
Welcome to the 18650 Recycling World! :cool: There's loads of personal experience and the users are posting updates normally weekly, if not some daily. The forum has grown in knowledge in the past 7 months since I've joined. I think it was still a toddler when I joined, now it's a teenager wanting to run things its own way :p

Lots of information in the youtube videos that have been posted. Several have posted a series of updates and progress of their work. You could probably watch every video and spend about a month on the couch :p
 
Yes . I have surely noticed there are hundreds of vids on youtube. I am that guy you see who cant understand it until i finally rip into it. My main concern will be finding the time to recycle all of these cells that it will require to provide a backup. Thankfully my power useage is what i would consider less than avg around 19 kw is highest used in 3 years with avg around 14 to 15 kw daily. I probably will be lurking in the background for a while then suddenly will see some life to this thread hopefully at a steady progress and not a stalling progress
 
As soon as I have moved my servers to a datacentre i will be down to 15kWh / day :)

On mobile I use taptalk and it seemed to have created a separate account. Sorry about that.
 
Ahhhh, ok. that makes sense :) No worries

I stopped using Taptalk as my Chrome works just as well on my phone as it does on my computer. Not to mention I don't really care for the layout of Taptalk.

My home isnt really big. 1300square .Energy efficient mini split, as of right now i only keep half the house cool during summer being winter is mild here . Super cold i will burn in the wood insert. Built a solar air heater to help winter times and insulation always pays for itself .

Could be a mix of location where he doesn't need to use a lot of heat/ac and has a small home with energy efficient appliances.

Nailed right on. Working on cutting down every chance i get . Just swapt to 5000k led in home and shop.
 
I think i have made it up to 25kws a few times in 3 years . It is very very rare though. Thats a lot of juice for me . We use most in summer . Humidity is the game changer . I am hoping mine will move up very little planning on getting a replacement mini split higher seer level and more insulation.
How much heat is generated with most power walls. Seems they could benefit by being temp controlled .
 
Feb is my least power month, 16.85kw was the least power used .
Heat and ac don't ever run in Feb.

I think I have way to many phantom chargers running. Cell phone, laptop, 3 fridge and freezers, 5 people using a water heater, and me charging and testing 18650's.

Heard that hybrid water heaters make a big difference in juice requirements if you leave them on heat pump only mode. I dont have experience with them so i dont know .
 
New Addition to the project . Will help me with the other projects i have going on. Got in the mail a da vinci jr its just the 1.0 . This along with the cad software helps me in my patents and helps me with designing so that is a double wammy . Also my MiEO cheapy finally decided to die . After almost 4 years . Lost all of my data of power consumption. Soo . I had to fork up the extra money to get another one . Thinking about getting another one that will tie into my computer .
