Hi everyone, I'm Brazilian (sorry for my English) and I'm planning to build a powerwall, I've seen some fire-related accidents in my country with lithium but I do not have details of the construction, that made me worried, using fusible wire, BMS and following everything I read here, should I put my bank away from home or would it be safe? I count on the experience of you as well as good practices, the integrity of my family is something very important for me.

Thank you and congratulations to all for working on this forum.

Having a separate structure for any kind of battery storage is a good thing. Even lead acid can cause fires and even cause an explosion under the right conditions.
If you're worried and new to the tech, would recommend a separate building structure of some sort. Even if just a wood shed a few meters from the house

To be honest I almost had a big incident while painting with lithium batteries around the house. It was quite terrifying when I realized what could have happened. After that and when I moved into Singapore I decided to not risk it as a loss there are very strict and I could get in real trouble. This was one of the reasons that when I had to paint my house and garage there I just called some reliable house painters Singapore To do the work. They knew about the dangers of batteries around the area they had to work, so they were extremely careful and took every precaution measure possible.
