So new version - seems faster on my old computer. Doesn't look much different and can't find any info on changes. But I'lltest and see how it goes.

You can download it from the MPPSolar site -http://www.mppsolar.com/manual/Watchpower (off-grid)/1.10sp1 (windows 32,64)/1.10sp1_windows.zip
You can also download the user manual here -http://www.mppsolar.com/manual/Watchpower (off-grid)/WatchPower user manual.pdf

All other software and manuals fromhttp://www.mppsolar.com/manual/

What other software do you use to control your PIP inverters?

I'm using MPP Solar Patrol, just because the logging is really good with it's own built in webserver. I also like the way I can set up an email address and get it to email me the days stats automatically.

AICC : Axpert Inverter Control Center
Some good reports from people using this software, never used it myself.

SolarPatrol
Great program used it for quit a while, stable, USB & rs232 support, great built-in timer to turn on and off inverter

SolarMon
GREAT dashboard buggy as all get out. Don't think it is supported anymore, can't find the download link.
Website is closed :(http://www.solarmonitor.co.za/

ACDC power monitor
never used it but seems a fair effort has gone into it.

Video review :

I'll fill this out as i can find more info on each one. Feel free to post if you find any good info and i'll add it all together..

I'm still sitting here waiting for them to get their 120v US inverters out... They told me they would be coming fall 2017.

New model coming or something? I already have one of their 120v models. Got it last September.

so i noticed a difference between this new version and the old. On the old one the PV input, power, and charging current would disappear when solar charging switched off at night. The new one keeps these up which is handy so i can see AC charging current now.

Mpp told me last time i talked to them that they have a new 4048 coming. What its about or anything they didnt want to tell.. But they only said they are working on something new so they couldnt give me the current serial protocol and specs....

Interesting... I've contacted them to hang out here but they didn't reply

Yeah their lack for "proper" response is sometimes a bit annoying. But they most likely have alot to do. They always answered when i was about to order a new device from them atleast :)

Yes mostly Peggy. They are "slippery" :) I think they know more than they do. My tips is to take a look at Voltronic directly.
I think Voltronic had some 110v device up before but dont remember which one...

/D

Yeah, already found some on there. Thanks :D

She got back to me with a very simple response

It will not be ready anytime this year. sorry

Now I'm done waiting. It was "fall 2017" before, now it's "not anytime this year". I find it stupid that they sell a PCM60X where you need 48v to get the maximum wattage, then they tell you to either use a 24v battery bank or buy a 220-110v stepdown transformer for the inverter. They just lost my business.

Yeah but its common im afraid. Most chargers that do 48v only do half on 24 since its about the current going through.

But I agree. They have not focused fully on the US market as i understand and thats bad. Worst part is that the support/responses sometimes lack info and details. And as some others on facebook tend to say "Buy SMA...." Its true if you want that last feeling for support and good quality.

The only reason i go with them is that they are a bit cheaper and their stuff did match up with my stuff i got at home.

OT:
Yes im a "Smlnning". Smlnning is a Swedish word that states I'm from a specific area in Sweden. Smlnningar is known to not want to pay anything for stuff and when they sell stuff they sell it with highest possible price :D

anyone who upgraded to the new watchpower version able to open up the logs fine? I updated and noticed i can no longer pull up logs. Might have to downgrade back to the old version.

No need, do you see a serial number of the inverter in the logs ? it's up the top of the page somewhere
If not just load it over the top without uninstalling it'll fix it right up typically.

maybe just my computer then, yes i see the serial number, but when i click the browse button nothing pulled up. Downgraded to 1.09 and it works normally. Could also be my inverter, have the 2424LV, probably slightly different firmware than yours.

good find!
