Panels with Tyco Solarlok connectors
I came across some PV panels with Tyco Solarlok connectors.  There's adapters out there, but I should also be able to cut the ends off and put on MC4 connectors, yea?

...... and use the best quality connectors you can afford, and the correct crimp tool.
And the mating connectors on the cable run to shed, etc have to match the ones you put on the panels, otherwise you risk getting a connector heat up or get water in it.

It sounds like the panels may have double-ended cables, so I'd leave the end directly attached to the panel as Tyco, replace the other end with MC4 and keep using MC4 for all other connections.
