I am about to build a 18650 battery pack for my electric go kart project and I wanted to make sure I had a sufficient number of nickel strips for the current that will soon be flowing through the system. Here is the setup:

48V 1000 Watt Brushless Motor with rated current of 26.7 amps
48V charge controller (30 amps)
14S9P battery pack using Samsung INR18650-25R 2500 mAh 18650 cells
Cells will be connected with a spot welder using pure nickel strips (0.15 mm x 7 mm and a maximum current rating of 7 Amps)
Battery Management System for 14S configuration rated at 30 amps

Since the motor (or load) is rated at 26.7 amps, would a single layer of nickel strips in between each series connection be sufficient? In other words, there would be 9 separate nickel strips (one layer) making the series connection between each parallel set of cells. The 18650 Samsung cells can discharge 20 Amps continuous so I would think that 9 individual nickel strips would be more than sufficient but I just wanted to make sure before I started welding. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
