Finally received 4 Lii-500 testers to start my process and had a couple of questions.

- Performing the NOR test, does it test on the charge or discharge stage?
- Should the batteries be fully charged before starting a NOR test?
- a few batteries have gotten stuck on the charge stage and the end keeps flashing?

Any other tips and tricks?

My plan is charge with TP4056 units and then test with the Lii-500. For the moment I only have the testers setup.

@keaton85 you are absolutely right, i have 10 liitokalas

Thanks! Ive getting a system down slowly.

I have still been getting some cells stuck on charging(the final stage), which doesnt make sense.

Check whether cells get hot or not while final charging

I haven't used that charger, but with my Opus, some cells that have an internal short or other problem will get hot and never finish charging. Other cells don't get hot, but the internal short can drain the battery as fast as the battery charger is charging it. If the internal short has high resistance, then the cell won't get hot, but it will take a long time to finish charging. I would mark those batteries as suspect and see if the voltage drops off during storage.

Also make sure the cell is making proper contact with the charger too. Bits of gunk on the contacts can often cause this trouble too.

Battery tests in "fast" mode involve measuring how many amps need to be put into an empty battery to fully charger it. "Normal" mode measures how many amps it takes to drain a full battery (this typically takes longer as it has to first fully charge the battery and then discharge and recharge it again)
