SOLD OUT OF THESE BATTERIES AT THIS TIME. HOLDERS ARE STILL AVAILABLE.

I have made a large purchase of the Boston Swing 5300 mAh batteries and I am offering them here for sale. For every sale I make I will make a donation back to the forum. I WILL NOW ENTERTAIN SHIPPING TO CANADA AND MEXICO WITH A QUANTITY OF 84 BATTERIES OR MORE, PURCHASER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING COSTS AND CUSTOMS AND DUTIES. FOR OTHER COUNTRIES I WILL ALSO INVESTIGATE SHIPPING BUT IT MAY BE COST PROHIBITIVE.For U.S. shipping I offer free shipping for 20 or more batteries.

These batteries are for those who want to forgo all the labor of finding and harvesting cells. These are new batteries. I also have the plastic holders for configuring these cells into battery packs and they make a nice solid pack.

The battery specs for the Boston Swing 5300 can be found here:
http://liionbms.com/pdf/bostonpower/swing5300.pdf

And you can find a great test andreview of this battery by forum member Thunderheart here:
https://secondlifestorage.com/t-Boston-Power-Swing-5300-Li-ion-cell-test?highlight=thunderheart

I don' believe I can add anything to that except for a recommendation of spot welding these cells. They can be soldered but due to the aluminum casing on them it proves harder. I have soldered them but I recommend the spot welding which I have now gone over to regarding these cells. In my opinion these cells are great for a powerwall or other large battery application. I have built a couple of 7S batteries that I am using for an electric lawnmower and weedeater and the batteries perform well in that application.

I have several thousand of these cellsand the pricing on what I currently have is:

$4.50 per Boston Swing Cell.
.60 per 2P plastic holder for Swing Battery
.70 per 3Pplastic holder for Swing Battery

Prices do not include shipping but I will ship the most cost efficient way possible. Take note I will be offering these on Ebay at higher prices.

With each of the Swing Battery I sell I will donate .05 to the forum here and with each quantity of (10) 2P or 3P holders I sell I will also donate .05 to the forum.

Hopefully this will be of interest as well as help the efforts here. If this works out I will import more of these provided the current tariff issues don't raise the pricing too high.

See the attached pictures for the batteries and their holders. Thanks everyone for all the great help and support you provide. Just PM me if you are interested and we can discuss your purchase.RH

As an addendum on these ...if anyone buys 20 or more of these batteries I will give free shipping on them as well.

For those of you that might be concerned about these batteries because of soldering issues. There is a solution to this, all you have to do is lift the welded tab on the cathode (positive) side of the battery a small bit with a razor blade and soldering is just like 18650's. The anode side solders very easily as is.

Also, reports back from some customers are very positive on these batteries ...although nobody on this forum has yet togiven them a try (at least not from me ...maybe others have from another source).

One user integrating these into his powerwall stated "Unlike other packs these things really take a beating they do not get hot like 18650s" .

Then another user who built an electric bike battery pack has said:

"It has been performing flawlessly! The other day I finally got to drain it as low as I could, after literally riding all day. I was able to pull 3700wh out the pack before it started sagging to 2.75v per cell under a heavy load. Even then I would still have been able to limp home if need be, by draining it down to 2.75v per cell at rest with a .2-.5c load for 100% capacity. "An ebike with no absolutely no range anxiety feels like a whole new kind of ebike all together."

Just food for thought on these batteries ....they really do perform to their specs.

I am investigating as we speak what it takes to ship Internationally so stay tuned on that here. My thinking is possibly Canada and maybe some of Latin America might be financially feasible. So stay tuned on that here.

It is official, I now feel confident that I can at least offer these batteries for shipping to Canada and Mexico and maybe others. The purchaser will be responsible for shipping costs and customs and duties. Send me a PM if interested.

i wish you were in the uk.....my powerwall is made from 1700+ of the 4400
theseare fab batteries...and i would like a few more.

Excellent ...obviously I feel these are really good batteries. I have started shipping beyond the U.S. but the only cost efficient way is by ground ....meaning Canada, Mexico and maybe Latin America. But they have to start going across the pond it gets expensive. I could check into it if you do want to pursue this. If so, send me a PM and give me a quantity to work with.

I will consider offers on packages of these batteries ...send me a PM if interested.

Always looking for offers on these batteries and I still have a large quantity of them.
