Snowlar Panels and a slightly off topic use for surplus energy
#81
Another awful, miserable rainy day,but I somehow managed to produce 8.4 kwh.

UK Southwest.

6 kWp Solar Panels
APS YC500i Micro Inverters.
Still sourcing and processing cells for powerwall.
Planning on a Sofar Mass Energy ME3000SP AC coupled grid tied inverter.

It's been a few days since my last update.
We've had some horrid weather lately and production has been down.

Today has been a lot better and managed to produce a half decent 12.81 kWh.

This was the effect of solar on my panels back in errrr.... feb 2018..

Thought it was a good indication as the the effect of a snow cover on panels and then clearing them off manually on one side and not on the other...

Green faces east, red is west. The green peak and time of day give a rough indication as to the angle the east west divide points (sout, south, west...)

If you can't quantify how much they cost, it's a deal, I'll buy 5 of them for 3 lumps of rocking horse ......

That’s a nice chart. Definitely shows the adverse affect the snow has on panel performance.
I so need to to setup a decent data logger to monitor production and usage more accurately.

Had a very poor few days of awful weather again, very dark clouds and rainy days, only managed between 2 kWh and 2.44 kWh for three days.

Today was a much better day, a lot more sunshine through broken cloud. Managed 12.28 kWh.
