Solar Combiner Boxes

What are you using to combine your solar panels on the roof? These "combiner plugs" rated for 30A just don't seem to do it. My 8x 320w panels can go above 30A... Not to mention, I wouldn't want to put more than 15-20A through a 30A connector anyway. Are you guys using the "combiner boxes"? But none of those seem weatherproof. Thanks!
 
You want to use a solardeck or equivalent box. It mounts nicely on the roof. If mounted vertical against the wall, midnight solar makes a pretty good box.

Typically each panel has a 15amp diode protection, so two strings joined together is typically safe. But going anymore than 2 strings requires a combiner box with individual fuses or breakers. I find the midnite solar breakers the cheapest. Or have standard fuse holders.
