Hi all,
Ive been partially off grid with 18650s for over a year now and Ive also had a mining rig for over a year (i turned the rig off when bitcoin dropped below 5k)
Im now looking to run the rig off grid and wanted to have the rig turn on when my panels turn on to charge,
Is there a way on the batrium to turn the mining rig on only when the sun is charging?
Thanks in advance,
Phil.

Batrium does not know when the Sun is Shining. It can only Sense current volt and temperature and calculate Soc. IF you can use those it Will work

Hi daromer,
I havent got a clue with that :-D
what about modifying the green flashing led on the pcm60x that come on when there is voltage from the panels, and the red one that comes on when the sun goes in?

Ive realised since putting the last post up, this relay switch wont work, I need something for the pcs power button, some sort of relay that clicks on for a millisecond triggered by the green led (solar charging) and clicks on for a millisecond when the red led comes on (no solar charging) any ideas anyone?

Do you have batrium today? IF so use that and trigger on Soc on the battery. Peter here have done something like that i think

Yes Ive had the wm4 for nearly a year,
Ive seen peters videos but Im sure he has the pc triggered when the volts are at a certain level i.e. above the bypass level, i think he had problems when the volts were near the bypass setting, because when the rig was working it went lower than the setting and turned it off, then when it was off the volts went back up so it came on again :-D
I dont know if he sorted it?

All done,
I used the arduino board with a custom program,
it can now be set so the mining rig turns on at a point of brightness and set to turn off when its getting dull,
If anyone is interested in getting there mining rig to come on only when its sunny (free mining) you will need:-
Arduino board (mine is the nano)
x1 LDR
Few resistors
Few jumper leads
Arduino relay board
All should cost just over 10
give me a P/M and Ill send you the code ;-)
Thanks,
Phil.
