Warning on Sony cells

They're onto us ;)

Just started seeing this warning on the vtc5 a few months back.
I process 2-300 high drain cells, per week, all brandsand have only seen this on Sony cells. Just butt coverage I guess.

hah.. ON NOES! :p
 
LG has been doing that as well, especially on the HG2. They don't want some bulk shipment of their cells being sold seperately to vapers and obviously they don't want you...mhm...us to break apart existing batteries to use the single cells.
 
Well, it's perfectly clear. They want' these cells to be used in a battery pack, not in a lonely flashlight. So, let us abide by their warning and make sure you put a bunch together and build a "battery" for our own use. It says "Do Not Use Outside Of Battery Pack". So we build one :p Technically and legally we are abiding by their request ;)

I like your way of thinking and totally agree! :D

Thanks for clearing that up. I will be sure to build them into a pack asap :p
 
OHHH. Absolutely beautiful of a cell. 2500mAh at 20A.

I really like medium capacity high drain 18650s, since we can go even up to 25A.

By the way Wattsup, have you found any 20700s in your packs? Would be quite interested.

I really like the Sony cells and they usually test very well!

Their big brother the vtc6 are even better :)

As far as 20700's go I've only had one pack so far, was a metabo. The cells were a bit worn but still useful.
