Whats the best cell arrangement

Hello everybody,

I already collect something about 2500 cells.
I want to build a 48V system with 2x 14s80p, whats the best way for the pack arrangement.

1. I type in the capacity of the 2500 cells in the repackr and build first  14s80p with the highest capacity
 an later another 14s80p with all the cells with low capacity, so later when I get enough other cells with high capacity I can sell the low 14s80p and change them with a new high capacity 14s80p.

2. I type in the capacity of the 2500 cells in the repackr and build directly 2 times 14s80p all cells mixed.

What do you think?

With the idea of upgrading later, I'd go with option 1. Just make sure all packs in string 1 are all equal in capacity as close as possible.

@Korishan that was my idea. I calculate at first with repackr one 14s80p from all 2500 cells with the highest capacity, and another 14s80p with the rest auf the cells.

I am glad I found this thread. Was wondering the same thing. I am building two 24v units (7S 80P each) and have enough batteries for both. In practical working conditions how does the higher capacity unit and the lower capacity unit working together affect things? I would assume that it would work much like having the lower and higher capacity cells in each 80P pack?

Sorry to hijak the thread, but I get confused rather easily on if I should keep my system balanced between both 24v units...or if it doesn't hurt anything to have one at 180 ah, and another at 210 ah.

Learning this stuff makes me feel like an idiot. lol

By all means put them in parallel. So long as you link each parallel group they will stay in balance.
