have some cells that need rewraping but i cant find any info about what to use or where to get it

im worried if i get some thick heatshrink its going to make them not want to fit into the plastic cell holders

http://amzn.to/2p8LivE

are the kits targeted at 18650 any good?

i would like to have it wrap over the ends a little like the stock wrap

I usually buy bulk lengths from ebay and cut it to size myself, however the precut lengths are probably fine.
Just make sure the little white plasticringgoes back in when you re wrap

Wattsup: How easy is it to cut the rolls to length? What do you use to cut them?

I had looked at the rolls, but since I dont have any kind of precision cutter (like a paper cutter or such), I kind of passed that up for the precut. I'd rather the rolls since I could get a lot more worth of one color/colour instead of the package of multiple colors/colours. Not to mention even cheaper.

I was in the craft section of Wally-World the other day and I saw a small cutter with a roller style cutting head. It was something like $15 or so. I'm wondering if that would work to cut the wraps to the needed lengths.

*had to include both spellings of color/colour so that everyone could understand me without the language barrier :p

I don't think the rolling paper cutter is going to cut it.. :D

They don't even cut multiple sheets of paper that well.

Clamp one of these down on a board by the part with the bubble and you can put your heatshrink under the extended rule set to your desired length and then cut the piece off with a razor knife using the end of the rule as your straight edge. You don't need the high dollar unit for that so almost any adjustable combination square will work. Glue or screw a couple of guides to your board on either side of where the heat shrink should lie and you're done with a custom heatshrink cutter.

I suppose so. The only thing I'd really worry about is that my OCD tenancies will come out full force if I don't get those things cut exactly square :p

I just use a sharp pair of scissors, after doing a few you work out how much you need to wrap the ends, if unsure you could measure it. I find it works perfectly well. Then you can choose your own COLOURS:p

I have bought 500 from Keith before. They are great price and fit perfect. good quality too. not the cheap thin ones and not too thick.

I second Keith's wraps. I bought a 500 pack myself as well as one of the multicolor packs. They are thicker higher quality than the others I got from eBay before.

are they thin enough to still fit in the plastic holders with ease though?

Yes, no problems at all. The thickness is only a millimeter really, but it makes a difference.

LOL As long as you had enough super heroes to fill all your packs ;)

Was just searching for new wraps for some of the batteries and I found these:

Use one for the start of each bank of batteries. So rather than having Bank1, Bank2, etc. It would be cooler to have Bank Ironman, Bank Hulk, Bank Batman, etc. [emoji14]
I was just reviewing those super hero ones and asked my supplier about them. He said standard thickness on those are .05mm. The ones I sell are ~.08-0.1mm thick. Small difference, but very noticeable when in actual use.

Thanks to those that ordered and plugged the store. I will have new color inventory soon....(china soon)....lol

Do you ship to Australia? If so I'd buy your stuff rather than others.

As far as I'm understanding USPS shipping. Flat rate shipping 4lb max is $22.50.

So it would be in the best interest to diy members nearby you to do a bulk order to save on the shipping cost.

I don't know if your local PO adds an additional charge or not. Some countries do charge extras fees to the recipient.

real superheroes don't need them on their batteries... :D I always rewrap my batteries with cheap shrink tube on a roll from banggoog. 2m in different colors fo ~1.80$, thickness 0.1mm, fits to battery holders without any problems. I use a scalpel to cut it. Check it out here.

2meters=28pc@$1.80=.0064 each.
My 250pc@$14=.0056 each

Sure you need to buy more, but you don't need to cut them. Plus if you buy even more the price drops alot. (I give good discounts) [WINKING FACE]

what about shipping costs to Germany?

USPS flat rate is $22.50 up to 4lbs. I wish it was less, however I am offering offset pricing to assist on shipping costs.

As mentioned before, if there are other members in your(any local area), it is beneficial to group buy and max out the package. This helps to keep the price much lower per person. I will discount the cost based on larger quantity orders.

In other words, it will be well worth your while. [FACE SAVOURING DELICIOUS FOOD]
