dc dc converter

Can you suggest a branded dc dc converter (branded which will work without problem and also I can get service in india ) . Few days back ago I bought an inverter from aliexpress that stopped working after I made parallel connection with a dc dc converter(200w). now it is as short circuit think diodes are blown off. I cannot repair it. so, I want to know the branded inverters also dc dc converter which I can import to india or directly buy it from here .

Victron or Samlex both make good dc to dc converter worth looking at.

Personally I like the Vcitron stuff a lot... good options and from a brand known for quality. They can be had in both non-isolated and isolated which is a nice option depending on what you are trying to accomplish.

At least that is what I think of when you say "branded"

I have bought DC-DC from Daygreen as well... it's another Chinese / import brand, but I think it's a fair step up from the regular PCB style DC-DC boards we see a lot. Its also worth looking at if the application is price sensitive. I don't think the max rating is really RMS on these, I have a 30A unit and it gets pretty hot. I would trust the Victron specs more personally.

+1 for Daygreen - seem to work pretty well but not repairable as the electronics is potted in epoxy or similar

Yup, the unit I have is potted as well perhaps that contributes to the heat buildup.

Whatever the advertised rating is, I would cut that in half if you want an RMS rating. That said, my 30A unit, can push 30A without a problem, it just gets hot. I have not yet done an extended run-time test, but will at a later date.

Still seems like a nice DC-DC for the money. I would buy one again.

Good idea... I have plenty of PC processor heatsink/fan combos I can probably use.
