No body is saying you will have a fire if ran without fuses. The fuses aren't for normal operation, which you are currently observing. The fuses are for abnormal operation. This, you haven't seen yet. Not until a cell dies in your pack will you see this, and that's gonna take a long while, and will be a random cell. Unless you specifically put a really weak cell in the pack.

However, nice sized pack ya got there ;)

As Korishan said it will not catch fire just because you dont have fuses on cell level. ... The fuses are there to protect you WHEN/IF it happens..

all cels in this pack is beyond 2000 mah . the second is more than 1000 mah and below 2000 mah . the third one is beyond 2000 mah , etch......

1 pack : over 2000mah
2 pack : over 1000mah and under 2000mah
3 pack : over 2000mah
4 pack : over 1000mah and under 2000mah
5 pack : over 2000mah
6 pack : over 1000mah and under 2000mah

its pack has 560 cell . so 6 * 560 cell = 3360 cell . outback flexmax 80 solar charger . ups apc as inverter 3000va ( 2.2 kw) ... i havent buy solar panels yet . in your opinion woh many panels and how maany watts you sugest ? . thank you . :)

Solar panels depends on the area you live in and consumption. Many people want to be able to recharge the pack in 1 day.

I hate to be "that person" as well but safety is a very important component to these sort of projects and I feel it's missing here with lack of fuses. This is dangerous. Is it worth risking everything - your property and family - over not adding in fuses? I'd hate to see what happens if one of those cells were to dead short internally.

Fuses remarks aside, nice work...

This is going to work. And Has the possibility to work for quite a while. the unknown is what is going to happen when something does go wrong with a cell. If you want a real test get some of your worst cells and try it in a sealed metal box outside.

Cheers

We never said it "wouldn't" work. Just not safe to do so. The unknowns are the things that make cell phones blow up in a pocket.

As others have said, you want the fuse to be there when something bad happens.
Imagine if you had a cell with an internal short, and it kept taking current to such a high point that without a fuse, it would either kill a pack, or destroy its surroundings.

A fuse in such big parallel packs is an important recommendation, and I'd even go as far as to say that it should be an obligation with that much energy.

I just want to add that even for convenience sake soldering is better, what if you need to swap out bad cells
Ripping apart tab welds is no fun as we all know from harvesting. Desoldering or breaking a fuse wire is easy.

Hi news for us?
The pakage whitout fuse working good?

I wonder if he put a fuse at the top end of the pack.. if so.. why bother.
