have a chance to pickup 200+ lightly used cells for $300.
I asked the person selling them what they were used in. he said Ebike
Is $1.50 a cell a good price?

That's a decent price for them if they are in known good condition. Most cells go for $2 and above, depending on brand.

However, for picking up recycling cells, we usually try for $1/lb or less if possible.

thanks for the quick reply will see if the guy will sell me a few so I can check them out. no more of a gamble than buying used laptop batteries. the ad has been up for more than two weeks so i think he will be open to selling any.

If you can get him to lower the price, that'd be great ;) Always try to barter!

Is that $1.50 US or AUD??

If they are say at least 2300-2400mah remaining, price should be ok.

They are a good high drain/capacity cell

Yep. They're high drain cells. That's a great deal especially if it 1.50$AUD, as that would be about 1.00$US, and for high drain cells, that's a bargain.

$1.50 USD if they were $1.00 each I would have bought them right away.
