Anyone done an off-peak charging power wall?
Solar is not an option yet for our house, but I'd like to go on to a power wall.
Options? Ideas?

Off-peak charging power wall is a good ideal. I sort of do this even though I have solar. I run the house on solar and batteries all day, in the night time I'm on batteries and my battery pack is not big enough to make it till the sun comes up so my system automatically goes to utility power and charge my battey to 48volts at 2:00am when utility power is the lowest. The gain here is my system is ready to go at the first crack of sun so I can get off of utility power as soon as possible.

Yea I had that setup for a year During the Day I was on batteries and in the evening on the grid and charging the batteries. Worked great. used a lv2424-hs inverter and 15 kWh of 18650's (Useable) our Peak rate was $0.20 per kwh amd evening was $0.08 /kWh

Me too. I have an Economy 10 tariff so three off peak periods throughout the day, morning, midday and evening. During the winter months when I don’t get a full charge from my panels I use the off peak periods to charge and then discharge during peak times.
