Dear all,

I am a little novice in CAN bus monitoring system. I have a Sloki CAN S-bus Analyzer tool which I have connected to a CAN based lithium battery. I am getting lot of received data at different time stamps from the BusMaster software. These data are from the BMS and represent different parameters of the battery. How can I decode this data or view the data in plot viewer.

Hello Zee123king, I’m doing the same as you on a Sonnen server rack battery. I have not got data yet but when I do I will know what it mean. your CAN based lithium battery has a BMS made by someone, JK, Pylontech somebody. The BMS maker has a CAN protocol for all the numbers. I just joined a site last night where a guy posted a pdf of what the numbers mean for a Pylontech BMS on CAN. So your next step is what BMS are you reading data from (hopefully Pylontech) there BMS is used in there own batteries and many other Rebranded batteries. When I get the protocols I will share. Meanwhile I need to buy a Skokie Can S on some type of analyze. Good luck I‘m with you, what I learn you will get.

Hello, Thank you for your reply. The BMS is made by a local company which is a Chinese BMS labelled with local name.. in my case Green Tiger BMS. I think I need a GUI for my received CAN data from CAN analyzer which can be compatible with the bms. I don't know any program which can work with any kind of BMS
